Thanks to the generosity of many Rhode Islanders, the Foundation is able to offer scholarships and fellowships to students from middle school to post-graduate level, from communities throughout the state, and in many different fields of study. All Rhode Island students, regardless of immigration status, are eligible to apply.

Most of our scholarships now require the completion of a universal eligibility quiz and application. Please complete the eligibility quiz for your chosen program and, if you are eligible, you will be guided to the application. To be considered for a scholarship, please be sure to complete and submit both the eligibility quiz and application.

  • Providence public high school junior; award given upon graduation the following year, with proof of college acceptance
  • Planning to attend an accredited post-secondary degree-conferring institution
  • Recommended by a high school guidance counselor, teacher, principal, or advisor who is aware the student has overcome a serious obstacle in his/her academic path
