June Rockwell Levy Foundation Grants
The June Rockwell Levy Foundation makes grants to Internal Revenue Code 501 (c)(3) organizations serving the communities of Providence County, with a preference for northern Rhode Island. As a general rule, the Foundation does not make grants to public schools, including charter schools. Read the Legacy of June Rockwell Levy and Austin T. Levy.
Applicants may apply for funding once per calendar year.
Applications will only be accepted and reviewed according to the sector in which a nonprofit organization primarily works.
Proposals from organizations working primarily in Human Services or Housing will be reviewed in February, 2020. The deadline for the February meeting is January 28, 2020.
Proposals from organizations working primarily in Arts & Culture or the Environment will be reviewed in April, 2020. The deadline for the April meeting is March 31, 2020.
Proposals from organizations working primarily in Education or Economic Security will be reviewed in June, 2020. The deadline for the June meeting is May, 26, 2020.
Proposals from organizations working primarily in Health, Basic Human Needs, or Other topics will be reviewed in November, 2020. The deadline for the November meeting is October 27, 2020.

(All applications must be submitted electronically, with the following items attached.)
- JRL Financial Summary
- Current organizational budget
- Most recent balance sheet
- Current board of directors

Reports must be submitted within 12 months of grant receipt, or sooner if submitting another application prior to the 12 month mark. Applicants with overdue reports will not be considered for future funding. Please complete this report form, then email it to JRL@rifoundation.org. In the email subject line, include your organization name and "JRLF grant report."
