This included deep engagement with the public, collaboration with partners, donors, and team members, and rigorous research and data analysis to identify what matters most to Rhode Islanders and how we can best apply our resources to address community priorities. 

We also took a closer look at our own practices, conducting a thorough internal review to assess who we are, what we do, and how we do it. This honest reflection allowed us to identify opportunities to grow and better align our work with the communities we serve.

We recognize that communities evolve, and so must we. Our commitment is to remain responsive and adaptive, continuously centering community voices in our decision-making, honoring every perspective, and being willing to change course when needed. The community is not simply a beneficiary of our work; they are an active partner in shaping it. 

This Five-Year Action Plan is both a roadmap and a promise, guided by our deepened commitment to inclusion, accessibility, empathy, mutual respect, and humility, to listen, evolve, and lead with purpose.
