The Foundation began sponsoring free performances of the Philharmonic at the Temple to Music in 2016. At the time, the orchestra had not performed there in more than a decade.

The Foundation began sponsoring free performances of the Philharmonic at the Temple to Music in 2016. At the time, the orchestra had not performed there in more than a decade. Now it has become an annual celebration that is enjoyed by thousands of people at Roger Williams Park.

In 2024, we recognized three community champions during the annual Pops concert. The Foundation’s Community Leadership award was presented to Amos House for their dedication serving those experiencing homelessness and poverty, Mrs. Victoria Johnson received the Civic Leadership Award for her distinguished education career in Newport, and Dr. Eugenio Fernandez was recognized with the inaugural Trailblazer Award for his work mitigating gaps in health care services within the community at Asthenis Pharmacy.
