The Merrill Lynch investment firm has negotiated with The Rhode Island Foundation – to marry the firm’s investment management strength with the Foundation’s knowledge of the community and grantmaking expertise.
Utilizing the Merrill Lynch Community Charitable Fund, a current Merrill Lynch client may establish a donor-advised fund at The Rhode Island Foundation. While his or her Merrill Lynch advisor can suggest an appropiate portfolio strategy, the Rhode Island Foundation and its staff can recommend charitable gifts from the new endowment, whenever and wherever the client chooses.
