“My choice is to help my own village, if possible.” Those were the words of Mary LeMoine Potter in the will that established a fund in her name at the Rhode Island Foundation to benefit Kingston. According to her wishes, the net income from her endowment is used to support organizations and projects primarily benefiting residents of the historic village of Kingston.

The committee meets annually to review submissions and to make recommendations to the Foundation. Grants generally range between $4,000 and $16,000.
