In 2016, the Foundation awarded a record $45 million in grants to fund hundreds of programs serving Rhode Islanders throughout the state. Many of those dollars come from designated or donor-advised funds -- funds that allow donors to choose how their dollars are spent.
It's people like you -- donors and prospective donors -- who make our work possible. Get involved with the Rhode Island Foundation or get more involved. There are so many ways for us to work together. Let's make change happen.
Our development staff is here to serve you. We can help you plan a fund or contribute to one.

We thank our 1916 Society members for their commitment to improving the community. These individuals have named the Foundation in their estate plans or have established deferred gifts.
You can contribute online to any of the more than 1,500 funds managed by the Rhode Island Foundation. The Civic Leadership Fund allows us to respond to immediate community needs. The Fund for Rhode Island, our permanent fund, enables us to make grants at our discretion. The Campaign for Roger Williams Park is helping restore and preserve one of Rhode Island's most treasured places. We also have a number of sector-specific funds dedicated to health, education, arts and culture, children and families, the environment, and housing. Search our funds, then give online today.
